Whipsnake Interactions
WELCOME !

The Whipsnake interacts with many animals. It interacts with numerous lizards, snakes, frogs, insects, small birds, and small rodents. All of those animals are also animals it eats. But it must watch out for hawks, desert rodents larger than its self, even bigger snakes (including larger Whipsnakes). Now, most of all, it must watch out for humans. Humans are coming in and making valuable land from a natural desert habitat to a shopping mall and subdivisions. For thousands, possibly millions of years the Whipsnake has gone undisturbed, but now is the time that it is being destroyed. Luckily, a group dedicated to protecting the wilds persuaded the government to set aside some land for the Whipsnake and many other precious desert animals. The land was a 400,000 acre chunk of land in Northern California. It's not much compared to the entire west as it used to live in, but it is a start (and a rather good one, too).
