The Lowland Anoa Animal Page

species of wild cattle, or buffalo, is classified in the highest level of
endangerment, endangered. This animal is endemic to the jungle-like forests of
the island of Sulawesi, which is off the coast of Indonesia. The Anoa feeds on
grass, herbs, leaves, fruit, and marsh and aquatic plants, obviously a
vegetarian diet. Lowland Anoas live alone or in pairs, except when the animals
are getting close to giving birth. They are said to be the smallest species of
water buffalo.
