Read the prompt below and consider what you learned about becoming an adult from having read Dogsong by Gary Paulsen. Then write an expository essay in which you respond to this prompt.

Think about the changes that Russel undergoes on his journey to become a man. Identify the changes and explain how each one helped Russel achieve his goal.
